Charleston, South Carolina cemetery

I finally got my hands on our pictures. I thought I would show you some of my favorites first. Yes, the atmosphere and architecture were amazing, but for some creepy reason, my favorite place is always going to be the cemetery. I've been in many across America, and I think this one is a favorite. I could spend hours in any cemetery, but I'm always with people who are in a hurry. Someday I'll go by myself and spend the time I would like.

The headstones were like nothing I had seen before. They are rich with character, religion and history. It always breaks your heart to see children's graves, especially family plots with lots of small children who died. It makes you count your blessings to be alive in 'such a time as this'.

Allyson took these pictures. She's getting better with her Canon Rebel.

They were listening for ghosts. LOL

I want to live in a house with the doors in the first photo - you like headstones, I like doors, lol. Beautiful pics.

I loved the doors too. We tried to go in, but it was locked. I would have loved to see it.
